Description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Certificate of analysis

A 1:1000 dilution of SPC-1286 was sufficient for detection of Smad4 in 10 µg of HeLa, Cos7, HepG2, HUVEC cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.

Members of the Smad family of cell signaling molecules are components of a critical intracellular pathway that transmit TGF-β signals from the cell surface into the nucleus. There are three distinct classes of Smads: the receptor-regulated Smads (R-Smads), the common-mediator Smad (co-Smad), and the antagonistic or inhibitory Smads. Smad4 mediates all activities through interaction with various other Smad family members.

About
